This is a Step by Step Guide to mine SHIB Cryptocurrency from your Windows Computer in a just few minutes.

Anyone can mine using their personal Computer regardless of their technical skills or cryptocurrency knowledge. You just need a wallet address for the target coin, a mining software such as XMrig, and a cryptocurrency pool such as unmineable to become a crypto miner!

Stats of SHIB Being Mined, Click on the Image to see Real-time Stats.

We will be demonstrating the mining process by mining SHIB Coin, You can use the same process for other coins as well from the unmineable list.

Step#1: Get the Wallet Address

The first step is to get the Wallet address for SHIB to deposit the coins.

You can get yourself a wallet using metamask, Wallet can be on Etherenum Blockchain or you can connect Binance Smart Chain network to metamask (Google for steps).

Or you can get yourself a SHIB wallet address using Exodus or Atomic Wallet Whichever is easy for you.

Step#2: Download XMrig

Once you have the wallet address next step is to download the latest version of the Xmrig software from https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig/releases.

Sometimes it is tricky to identify which file to download, so let’s say for the latest version of xmrig 6.16.2, I will download the file xmrig-6.16.2-msvc-win64.zip for Windows. I recommend getting the latest file from the github link mentioned above.

While you are downloading this, some browsers may mark it as a dangerous file, so you need to allow downloading or keep anyway to download it.

Step#3: Configure XMrig and Start Mining

Once you download the latest version, unzip it and then you would have to edit a file named “pool_mine_example.cmd”. Right-click on this file and edit using notepad or any other text editor.

Inside this file, you need to modify 2 lines. It could look similar to this:

Syntax:
cd %~dp0
xmrig.exe -o poolURL -u COIN:WalletAddress.workername#referralcode -p x
pause
Example:
cd %~dp0
xmrig.exe -o rx-asia.unmineable.com:3333 -u SHIB:0xDA3114Fc7d56589bD1aC908d4eC6e14af9b31DBC.alexshib#2rzq-8o3a -p x
pause

poolURL — After the -o you can see the Pool URL, in this case, all you have to do depending on your location is to use one of the following URLs.

  • USA: rx-us.unmineable.com:3333
  • Europe: rx-eu.unmineable.com:3333
  • Asia: rx-asia.unmineable.com:3333

COIN:WalletAddress — Coin to be Mined, followed by Coin’s Wallet address.

For me it is SHIB:0xDA3114Fc7d56589bD1aC908d4eC6e14af9b31DBCb

Worker name: Name that you provide to identify your worker node, It helps in the case of multiple nodes, my worker name is alexshib

Referral code: Code to lower the mining fees from 1% to 0.75% You can use the referral code 2rzq-8o3a (THIS is IMP, to reduce the mining fee).

Once you have made the above changes, Run the pool_mine_example file as an administrator.

Congrats, You are a Crypto Miner now!

Step#4: Check your Mining Stats, Visit unMineable

unMineable a service/mining pool that allows you to mine using your CPU or GPU in exchange for various coins. It is an innovative real-time exchanging process, based on actual mineable coins:

  • ETH (Ethereum) for our Ethash pool
  • ETC (Ethereum Classic) for our Etchash pool
  • XMR (Monero) for our RandomX pool
  • RVN (Ravencoin) for our KawPow pool

So you allocate your CPU resources to pool mine the Mineable coins such as RVN, XMR, ETC, ETH and get rewarded in your desired coins such as SHIB, Doge, CAKE, CHZ, etc. An entire list of coins can be found here

The underlying exchanging process runs in the background, converting an actual mineable coin reward to the coin you choose. The conversion is processed on each reward, so you can think of it as an almost real-time exchange, to make it more like if you were actually mining non-mineable coin.

In order to check your balance, log into Unmineable and then select the coin you want to mine. In this example, SHIB.

Then you can select the Tab that reads RandomX and enter your address in the box that reads “Enter your address to check your stats:”.

After doing this you will see the balance on your account and you will even be able to request payment after reaching a payment threshold. Workers are visible after 5–10 mins of starting the process.

You can see from the Snapshot below that I have mined 2021 SHIB coins using the same process.

Mined SHIB coins for my address can be tracked here https://unmineable.com/coins/SHIB/address/0xDA3114Fc7d56589bD1aC908d4eC6e14af9b31DBC

Step#5: Done

Congratulations to start with Crypto Mining, Do remember to use my referral code 2rzq-8o3a in step#3 to lower the mining fee.

On Unmineable, Remember to use a valid address for each coin, for example, you want to get paid in XMR, use the monero wallet address, In our case, we used the SHIB ETH wallet address to get paid in SHIB on ERC20 blockchain.

I recommend downloading some software to monitor the running temperature of your CPU, a good and free one is Hardware Monitor.

Try not to exceed the temperature of more than 80-90 degrees celsius. In case you are mining with a laptop, change the thermal paste of your CPU, get it cleaned inside, and get some heat extractors for laptops to keep the temperature under control. the number of coins you can mine will depend on the hash rate of your CPU.
